Bigby Place - Nelson

Bigby Place is a community resource centre for adults and children with developmental disabilities. We provide programs and opportunities that enable people to develop skills and gain confidence in order to continue to live independently in their community.

Bigby Place offers adult programs Monday to Friday and children’s programs Tuesdays and Saturdays with a children’s camp Tuesday to Saturday in the summer. Adult programs we offer include job coaching, life skills, 1-1 support, recreation programs, community kitchens and informative workshops. Children’s programs we offer include teens in the kitchen and a Saturday recreation program. For more information please contact Angela Heinonen or Ruth Cordiner at (250) 352-0867.
