Kootenay Society for Community Living

Kootenay Society for Community Living provides a range of services to persons living in and nearby Castlegar, Nelson, and Grand Forks.

Services provided include: Adult Day Programs (Community Options and Bigby Place offers participation in work, social and recreational activities within the communities); Residential Care (six caring, supported homes in the communities); Adult Social Groups (weekly social activities such as dinners and movie nights, People First meetings, and special events); Teen Group (weekly social and recreational activities held throughout the school year); Children's Programs (opportunities during the school year to plan and enjoy a variety of fun and exciting activities); Summer Programs (encouraging children and teens to interact and have fun - July and August); Advocacy (KSCL supports families and self-advocates by providing resources for decision-making and appropriate actions).
